About youth

My teenage daughter and I wrote this article for a Chilean newspaper to show how young people in Russia spend their time.
As it turned out, in Chile there is an undeveloped dance direction, showing various styles of dance. And winter sports were especially interesting, due to the lack of snow in Chile, as such. The theatrical direction and games also aroused increased interest. Always and all over the world, teenagers and young people loved to listen to music, walk in large companies and do whatever they like. Over the past decade, a new generation has grown up in Russia, brought up in conditions that are fundamentally different from those of previous generations. The development of the country, reforms, a change in values - all this led to a number of changes in the public life, including those who love everything new – young people.

The main hobbies often overlap with what we were taught in childhood. The influence of school, friends, various activities leads to what we choose in the future.
Teenagers spend their free time in the vastness of Russia in different ways. Shopping and entertainment centers, cinemas, sports organizations, computer clubs with online games, museums and exhibitions, skate parks and music concerts are all different kinds of places where young people gather and spend their free time

Almost all young people in Russia are familiar with the concept of a skate park (a combination of English skate-skate and park-park), a place with various ramps and other devices for riding a stunt scooter, bicycle or skateboard.
People come there not only to ride and learn new tricks, but also to watch others ride, support friends and listen to loud music. Every spring, a new skiing season begins, when everyone gets their transport and goes out, beginners begin to learn from more experienced ones. Around October, when it is damp and raining outside , the season ends and all scooters and skaters move to indoor
skate parks.

In winter, they put on skates and go to the skating rinks, indoor or outdoor. Who goes in for sports, plays hockey, and goes skiing. Russian music and concerts of performers deserve a separate discussion. Most popular in the world of music and social networks are such artists as MORGENSHTERN (Alisher Morgenstern), Big Baby Tape (Egor Rakitin), PHARAON (Gleb  Golubin), FACE (Ivan Dremin), Little Big (leader – lead singer Ilya Prusikin “Hitch”) and many others. This year the Little Big group with the song “UNO” was supposed to represent Russia at the  Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Even listeners from other countries like Russian performers , despite their different language. They can hook not only with the meaning of the text, but also with high-quality bright music.

Colorful numbers in bright costumes, a variety of tricks, the use of props leave incredible impressions in their energy. In some studios, for the brightest performances, video clips are shot and photosets are made.
