INTERESTING PLACES OF ST. PETERSBURG
I want to acquaint you with interesting and unusual places in our city. There are a great many, and something new constantly appears. There are places that are always relevant, for example, the Hermitage or the Peter and Paul Fortress with their museums. But there are not promoted places or those that they know about not all. I’ll try to replenish the collection of interesting places in St. Petersburg for citizens and guests of the city.
Museum of Socialist Life

This is a memorial museum. Its goal is not to show the achievements of the people, but to evoke warm feelings and emotions. You can touch the exposition, try on clothes, play games, see things that were in everyday life of every Soviet person and that cannot be found anywhere else.
Museum of the Soviet era

The museum specializes in Soviet history and covers the period from World War I to the collapse of the USSR. The exposition presents unique things, such as the smallest TV, the smallest radio, a unique collection of porcelain. The Soviet living room with furniture and household items has been recreated. Soviet childhood is presented in the children’s room. You can take memorable photos in clothes of that time and buy souvenirs.

The former factory has been turned into a colorful and cozy art space with original hand-made shops, showrooms, exhibition centers and studios, but the main highlight is the open panoramic roof in the city center with stunning views, where various festivals are periodically held.

The former shipyards of Peter the Great have been restored and transformed into a creative and atmospheric place with cafes, exhibitions, studios in the building of the former prison “Bottle” and a playground. Various concerts, yoga practices on a landscaped lawn, film shows, lectures and festivals.

Museum-model “Petrovskaya water area”

A large model of St. Petersburg of the 18th century with a real water space on a scale of 1: 87, an area of 500 sq. Petersburg and its suburbs in Peter’s times, some we will never see, models of ships, balls and holidays. The museum conducts excursions on various themes of that era in different languages.
Excursion to the jewelry production “Russian Gems”

The oldest jewelry factory, created by decree of Nicholas II, the only one in St. Petersburg, open to receive tourists. Here you will be introduced to old manual and modern automated technologies. Various master classes on painting jewelry, matryoshka dolls, filigree, etc. are held here.
Ball in the Elagin Palace

In the beautiful interiors of the palace, in the ballroom, dressed in luxurious dresses and tuxedos of the 19th century, you will learn some of the dances that were danced in these halls and learn about the ballroom culture of the 19th century. you can walk through the main city park, where the palace is located, visit the zoo, the embankment with lions and a view of the first pedestrian bridge and the Zenith Arena stadium.
Ethnopark Bogoslovka

Just 5 km from St. Petersburg there is a unique ethnopark. Here are the restored objects of wooden architecture of the north of Russia on the picturesque banks of the Neva. The pearl is the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos, reminiscent of the famous Kizhi. The ethnopark introduces wooden architecture of the 16-18 centuries. Peasant courtyards with buildings, the way of life of the inhabitants of the Russian north, the culture of the small peoples of the Karelians and Vepsians, as well as two noble families to whom these lands belonged.
