Valdivia

Our goal here was the market. The cheeses here are wonderful, a large selection of varieties and excellent quality. You can try everything. You can pay by card.
Lots of fruits and vegetables. Local cherry fruit. Sweet taste. There are yoghurts with the taste of Cherry.

Awesome avocado

Salsa – This exotic plant is peeled and eaten with lemon and salt, also used for salads. Children take it to school. It tastes sour.

Pressed algae

Artichoke. The technology of its preparation is as follows. It is boiled for a long time, while it is being cooked to make a lemon dressing. A bunch of lemon juice and salt is squeezed out. Then the leaves are torn off one by one, dipped in lemon and the pulp is eaten from them, the leaves themselves are not eaten. The most delicious and soft in the middle. I did not like.

Different varieties of olives.

Spicy dressings, honey and much more. The main advantage is seafood. Fish, shellfish, live crabs.

And the most interesting thing is what is behind the fish rows. When I saw it, I could not believe my eyes. Everything is clear about the different species of birds. But there are also sea lions. An entire colony, huge and roaring scary. They share the fish waste thrown to them. Thick fur. , luxurious mustache. How they got there, it is not clear. Or they lived there all their lives) The embankment is quite high. They look very impressive. I must say that in Chile a special attitude towards animals. They are protected here. Circus with animals is also prohibited.

But, walking along the embankment, you can find this….

We just jumped from his roar, really scary).

And these are his brothers.

In Valdivia there is a wonderful park. With a lake and lotuses. Quiet and calm. Locals hold picnics there. For the opportunity to enter by car they took 500 pesos (approximately 42 rubles) + another ticket for each. Children’s 100 pesos, I have not survived an adult. But And so you can see that the prices are democratic. In the park, we came across an interesting species of bird. I have never seen such a bird.
