Concepcion

After landing in Santiago, where my friends were already waiting for me, we went to Concepcion, which is about 400 km.

Concepción is home to a large state university, one of four. The center for the cultural life of youth. Its area is more than 1,000,000 square meters. There are educational buildings, museums, sculptures and parks. Concepción’s research center. On the campus is the Art the Casa del Arte Museum, which houses the country’s largest collection of paintings outside the capital of Santiago.

Concepción has an interesting Dinosaur Park for kids, and adults love to sit there too.

There is also an interesting Peruvian restaurant “Fina Estampa”. In it you can study the history of Peru. There are “parchments” on the walls, the cuisine is exclusively Peruvian and only Peruvians work. The menu contains seafood, maize, Pisco sour, Ampanados. The portions are large. The mennu is also stolen illustrations about Peru; after eating, at the expense of the establishment, they give a tincture with chamomile or mint to improve digestion.)

It’s spring in October in Chile. It’s cool during the day, you can’t do without a heater at night. In general, like the St. Petersburg summer)). The average temperature is 17-20 degrees. The next morning we arrived in Frutillard.

We looked into the mall. Real trees grow in the middle of the promenade, the water murmurs, birds sing from the speakers.

Prices are almost like ours, something is cheaper, something is more expensive. The rate for one ruble is 13 pesos.

In the morning we visited the Art Gallery of the University of Concepcion.

The center of the exposition is the panel “Unification of Latin American Countries.” Fresco by Mexican artist George Gonzalez Camaren – Also here is the largest collection of Chillian art, there are works reflecting the life of the 18-19 centuries, and modern ones. Entry to the gallery is free.

It was nice to walk around the university, enjoying the warmth and the sun. To feel the life of students, our Chilean friends, by the way, studied here. The pond, with the famous university ducks, was waiting

TOME

Here is one of the most luxurious beaches on the Pacific Ocean. Colorful umbrellas, restaurants, fruit cocktails. The water is cold, but this does not stop the locals, the water temperature rarely rises above 15-18 degrees.

They also sell the summer drink Huesillos. It consists of peach and wheat grains cooked in a special way. It tastes like our dried fruit compote. To it they give out a spoon. It is served cold, for the heat. It is sold here by a couple of newlyweds who have opened their own business. They dream of saving money, buying a house and traveling. Very nice guys.

SALTO DEL LAJA WATERFALL

It is located 125 km from Concepcion, we stopped at it on the way to Villo-Villo. 35-meter waterfall in the shape of a horseshoe is not considered an attraction by the locals. I suspect that in spring it is full of days, although there is no snow here, but it rains a lot) They ride boats along the Laha River, people swim, there is a camping nearby. The road to the waterfall is dotted with shops with souvenirs, herbs, spices, dried horse meat, etc. with restaurants. You can climb the stairs and look at the waterfall from above. in its jets and splashes. I really wanted to plunge into the inviting water, but we must move on. In Villo-Villo we arrived at midnight, lost on the night road.
